Author's note

Initials with Curls is a free curly initials font with a distinctly calligraphic, monogram-like mood. The letters pair tall, spare verticals with generous loops and curled flourishes, so the font feels rooted in formal stationery and old-world ornament rather than ordinary display lettering.

It works naturally for wedding invitations, book covers, boutique branding, title cards, and decorative drop caps where a few letters need ceremony and motion. As a free font, it makes most sense in short settings such as monograms, cover lines, packaging marks, or chapter openers, because the sweeping curls give even simple initials a dressed-up, engraved flavor.

I bought a CD with free Initial fonts. These where in TIF-images. I converted one of these to TTF and added a lower-case version and a few extra letters that I needed.
