Author's note

Instruction Bold Italic by Neale Davidson is a free fixed-width sans serif with a forceful forward slant. Its broad capitals use rounded stroke ends and generous open spaces, giving the dark lettering an unusually soft edge. The pace feels quick and direct.

As an assertive technical label, it suits equipment graphics and motorsport branding, where the even character widths and steep angle suggest speed and control. The same clean, engineered forms also fit game interfaces, science-fiction title cards, and album packaging with a machine-made theme.
