Author's note

Instruction Italic by Neale Davidson is a free fixed-width sans serif with a pronounced forward slant, softly rounded strokes, and an unusually light, narrow drawing. Its tall, spare capitals resemble neatly drafted technical lettering.

Designers working on engineering, transport, or industrial themes will find it well suited to printed manuals, control panels, and exhibition graphics. The measured spacing and streamlined angle also suit wayfinding signs and technology branding, especially when a project needs an orderly, active voice rather than corporate polish. In diagrams or product illustrations, its slim strokes can echo leader lines, labels, and schematic marks as part of the artwork.
