Author's note

Inverse Block Merge by Max Clayton Clowes of FontStruct is a free geometric sans serif with an exceptionally narrow, upright build. Its forms are reduced to clean rectangular strokes. The result is stark and highly controlled.

Designers working in technology and experimental graphics may find it suited to interface branding and electronic posters. Its compact block construction can also support magazine cover lines or game menus with a severe modular look. These uses are linked by the font's machine-made geometry and compressed silhouette.
