Author's note

Izitsa, a free Cyrillic display font, channels old Slavic book lettering with broad upright forms and soft, calligraphic curves. The letters mix sturdy verticals with rounded hooks and tapering strokes, so the overall feel is historical and ceremonial rather than strictly geometric.

This free font fits book covers, folk festival posters, museum graphics, title cards, and large initials in editorial layouts where a medieval or Orthodox mood helps carry the message. It works best in short lines and names, because those sweeping curved details and solemn proportions give even a few letters the weight of an inscription.
