Author's note

The JF Shill family combines the past with the present and future. The three typefaces, book, book-italic, and display, have been designed with metal type in mind. Font size would determine how a letter would be cut to solve the issue of negative space in smaller forms as well as legibility. The forms create a feeling of a transitional woodcut typeface
