Author's note

JICAMA by Chile Graphics, Inc. is a free cartoon display font built from hefty capitals with jagged, comb-like edging and dramatically varied silhouettes. Irregular cuts give the letters a handmade, cut-paper quality.

A children's book cover is an obvious home for this unruly lettering, especially when the story leans toward comic monsters or oddball adventures. The same toothy edges suit toy packaging, festival posters, and game graphics with a playful, slightly mischievous theme. In those settings, the capitals can become illustrated creatures or chunky emblems rather than simply supplying a title.
