Author's note

Kamaas, designed by Ranjan Shivakumar of Ethno Multimedia, is a free South Indian script-style display font with broad, sweeping forms and dramatic changes in stroke weight. The lettering combines taut hairlines with rounded curves and long hooked finishes, giving each line a rolling rhythm.

South Asian cultural themes are its strongest setting, especially for festival posters, event graphics, and album packaging. In publishing, it can turn a magazine opener or book cover into an expressive piece of lettering.
