Karmoofel by Fabian Pfeifhofer is a free psychedelic display font built from swollen, irregular letterforms. Broad curves press against narrow joins, with sharp cut-ins breaking up the rounded silhouettes. The shapes recall hand-cut poster lettering from the late 1960s and 1970s, with a loose and slightly surreal edge.
Packaging is an especially good fit for its soft-edged mass. Music posters, event graphics, and children's publishing can draw on the carved gaps and blob-like forms, which connect easily with paper cutouts, abstract patterns, and playful illustration.
