Kate by Rhoda McVittie is a free outlined display font with tall, lean letterforms and a deliberately unsettled finish. Fine contour lines slip away from the solid strokes, and several letters shift between open outlines and dense black shapes.
The offset contours echo registration errors and cut-paper shadows, making the lettering a useful companion to collage, photocopied textures, and layered illustration. That graphic tension suits music posters, experimental magazine covers, and fashion packaging, where the type can become part of the image rather than a neutral caption.
