Author's note

Ken's Calligraphic Italic by Jerry Landers of MouserFonts is a free calligraphic script with a brisk rightward slant and broad, sweeping strokes. Its sharp changes from thick to thin, pointed joins, and long entry and exit flourishes give the lettering the lively finish of broad-nib pen work.

Wedding invitations are its clearest setting, where the generous curves can make names and headings feel personal and ceremonial. The same dramatic pen movement also suits boutique branding, wine labels, and book covers with a romantic or literary direction. Those recurring flourishes can echo ribbons, vines, or ornamental rules, letting the lettering become part of the decorative theme.
