Kinder-Vignetten by Dieter Steffmann of Typographer Mediengestaltung is a free vintage child-figure dingbat font. Its drawings depict youngsters in old-fashioned dress, built from lively outlines and dark shading. Each figure has the slightly uneven, storybook finish of early printed illustration.
Designers working on children's publishing or nostalgia-themed projects can use the set to establish a period setting. The figures suit storybook chapter openings, heritage event posters, and packaging for traditional sweets, where their costumes and expressive poses provide ready-made scenes.
