Author's note

Kingthings Extortion, Kevin King's free ransom-note display font, looks like a stack of mismatched letters snipped from different sources and pasted together in a hurry. The jagged edges, uneven frames, and rough, eroded ink give it a scrappy tabloid feel that leans more toward menace and mischief than neat typography.

It fits naturally in poster headlines, zine covers, punk flyers, horror title cards, and collage-style branding where a free font can carry a cut-and-paste voice without needing much decoration. Because the letters already feel stolen, shuffled, and slightly damaged, the font works best in short blasts of text, from cover lines to names and quick, confrontational slogans.
