Author's note

Kingthings Foundation, designed by Kevin King, is a free calligraphic display font with dramatic broad-nib contrast, tall sweeping curves, and tightly fitted, substantial shapes with an old-world formal bearing. Sharp wedges punctuate the flowing letterforms.

Its theatrical construction can lend ceremonial weight to book covers and historical event posters, yet the same exaggerated strokes also suit fantasy game titles and darkly ornate music packaging for atmospheric releases. Across those different settings, the link is the lettering's mix of manuscript formality and pointed, almost heraldic detail, which turns a name or title into part of the surrounding illustrated period or fantasy imagery.
