Author's note

Kingthings Trypewriter 2 by Kevin King of Kingthings is a free eroded typewriter font with a forceful handmade print. Its slab-like serifs, uneven stroke edges, and patchy ink texture recall letters struck on a worn machine, with irregular shapes that keep the line lively.

Archival mysteries and offbeat literary themes suit its battered mechanical texture, which translates well to book covers, theatre posters, and indie game graphics. It feels especially apt for detective stories. The same rough imprint can give specialty coffee packaging and record sleeves the look of something stamped, typed, or pulled straight from a forgotten old case file.
