Kingthings Willowless, Kevin King's free curly display font, leans into a storybook, slightly Gothic mood with letters that loop, hook, and curl as if cut from wrought iron. The tall, narrow forms and exaggerated spirals give the font a theatrical rhythm, while star accents and teardrop-like ends keep it playful rather than severe.
It fits fantasy book covers, Halloween posters, pub signs, music flyers, and title cards where a little medieval mischief helps set the scene. As a free font, it also works well for short headlines, monograms, and drop caps, because the sweeping curls make even a few letters feel dressed for the occasion.
