Author's note
Knewave by Tyler Finck is a free brush script with broad, forceful strokes and a lively forward slant. Its irregular edges, tight joins, and changing stroke widths give the letters the punch of hand-painted signwork rather than a polished pen script.
The chunky sweep of the lettering connects easily with energetic illustrations, especially surf graphics, food mascots, and comic-style artwork. It is well suited to festival posters and casual restaurant packaging, where the dense shapes can become part of the graphic rather than simply labeling it. Music merchandise is another natural fit. Its upbeat, hand-painted character feels particularly at home in skate, beach, and independent music culture.
