Author's note

Koenig-Type, created by Heinz Koenig and digitized by Dieter Steffmann, is a free Jugendstil blackletter font with broad, hand-shaped strokes. Its swelling curves, clipped points, and uneven contours soften the medieval structure with a distinctly Art Nouveau flourish.

That turn-of-the-century blend is especially convincing for historical posters and book covers, where the lettering can suggest period craft without looking strictly traditional. It also suits brewery branding. The sculptural letters could become part of an illustrated tavern sign, while their theatrical silhouette also fits folk-music merchandise and fantasy game graphics.
