Author's note

Kremlin Synod, created by BCD/MFA in 2008, is a free ornamental display font with a theatrical, old-world profile. Tall serif letters are framed by curling tips and bead-like inner marks. Diamond chains run through the strokes.

As an illustrated title, the lettering can turn a fantasy poster into part type and part ornament. Its jewel-like lattice also suits historical game graphics and elaborate book covers, especially when the artwork draws on heraldry or stage scenery. On themed merchandise, the repeating diamonds can function like decorative metalwork rather than ordinary printed text.
