Author's note

L562 Minuscule by Jack Kilmon is a free ancient dingbats font built from medieval manuscript-style marks. The forms feel cut from an old page - broad, uneven, and slightly knotted - with hooked strokes, wedge-like joins, and a hand-drawn rhythm that reads more monastic than ornamental.

This free font fits editorial work that wants a historical accent, from book covers and poster titles to chapter openers, museum graphics, game lore, and packaging with a folk or liturgical slant. Use it where a few characters can carry the mood, especially in title cards, drop caps, or short emblems, because the heavy silhouettes make each mark feel like a recovered sign.
