Author's note

La Mamucha is a free groovy display serif with oversized, swelling strokes and a lively 1970s silhouette. Sharp triangular serifs cut into the broad letterforms, and pronounced thick-thin changes give every shape a taut, dramatic edge.

Its best role is in music posters, where the compressed spacing and rolling curves can echo psychedelic artwork and vintage concert graphics. It also suits vivid album covers. Fashion branding and drink packaging can use the same exaggerated forms to suggest a knowingly retro, theatrical identity.
