Author's note

Langhorne by David F. Nalle of Scriptorium Fonts is a free calligraphic display font with broad, sweeping strokes and a strongly slanted stance. Its weight shifts sharply through the letters, and the rounded joins and long finishing strokes give the writing a vigorous, old-fashioned flourish.

Historical adventure, folk tales, and traditional craft are natural subjects for its pen-drawn forms. It can lend book covers and event posters a theatrical voice, then carry the same hand-lettered quality into food packaging or pub signage. The style is especially suited to publishers, performers, and independent makers seeking lettering that feels robust, expressive, and rooted in traditional sign work.
