Author's note

Lassus, by D. Rakowski, is a free music-notation dingbats font with the look of spare printed noteforms drifting across staff lines. The set shown revolves around oval noteheads, clean horizontal rules, and a slightly antique, engraved feel, so the overall impression is less ornamental than quietly musical and referential.

That makes this free font a natural fit for recital posters, choir programs, album packaging, music-school flyers, and chapter openings in books about composition or music history. It also suits short title cards, section markers, and drop-cap style initials where a single symbol or letter can echo the theme without needing extra illustration.
