Author's note

Legendum by Rogier van Dalen is a free old-style serif with broad, open forms and gently modulated strokes. Rounded lowercase forms sit comfortably beside tall, spare capitals, and the restrained stroke variation keeps the page color even, with crisp serifs and softly swelling curves supplying a subtle calligraphic trace that feels closer to careful pen lettering than geometry.

In publishing, its calm curves and traditional detailing suit literary journals and book covers, and the same measured voice can carry into museum programs or heritage branding without turning overtly historical. Book covers are its most convincing home, especially for serious fiction.
