Author's note

Leipzig Fraktur by CAT Design Wolgast is a free blackletter font with the taut, angular construction of traditional Fraktur. Its pointed joins and broken curves look severe and ceremonial.

Historical publishing and metal music merchandise draw on different cultures, but both suit its dark, old-world lettering. On brewery packaging and event posters, the hooked strokes can become part of a crest or illustrated sign rather than serving as neutral text.
