Author's note

L'Elf Noir du Mal, a free gothic font from SDFonts, uses tall tapering forms and crescent-like cross-strokes to give the lettering a dark, courtly silhouette. The repeated split terminals and long horizontal cuts keep that medieval tone consistent, so the design feels ceremonial rather than simply decorative.

That shape language makes sense on dark fantasy book covers, RPG titles, metal flyers, medieval event posters, and occult packaging. It also gives chapter openers and logo-style names a dramatic role, especially where the pointed arches and extended strokes can set the mood in just a few words.
