Author's note

Liberation Sans, designed by Steve Matteson, is a free sans serif with a practical, neutral appearance. Its broad capitals and open lowercase forms create an even texture, and the stroke widths stay steady through both rounded and straight letters. Compact joins and clean endings keep the drawing crisp without making it feel severe.

Information-heavy subjects suit this straightforward lettering, especially in reports, educational publishing, and interface text where the type should support content rather than set a theme. It also serves everyday branding and understated event signage.
