Author's note

Life Savers by Pablo Impallari, Rodrigo Fuenzalida, and Igino Marini is a free comic display font with a light, theatrical manner. Its tall, uneven letters mix hairline strokes with sudden round swells and softly hooked ends. The shapes look deliberately lanky.

Fashion packaging and poster art can use that eccentric elegance for boutique labels, comedy events, or theatrical promotions. The springy curves can turn the letters into lively illustrated characters in children's publishing and festival merchandise.

Do you remember the "Life Savers" candies adds from the 50s? That was a time when Ad Agencies actually hired Lettering Artist for they advertising text. Before the advent of Photo Typesetting, all the text was beautifully drawn by hand. We are going to put some love to work and bring back the Life Savers hand-lettered Typewritter/Stymie mix. Probably drawn originally by Frazier Purdy for the Sam Marsh Studio.
