Author's note

Lighty CRE is a free non-Latin-inspired display font with towering, loosely drawn Latin letters and an unusually spare overall silhouette. Slim, nearly monoline strokes meet in uneven joins and softly bowed sides.

Its strongest setting is large-scale poster design, where the exaggerated height and open construction can turn a title into part of the event's graphic motif. Small independent fashion labels and experimental music releases could use its uneven curves for wordmarks and limited-run merchandise aimed at an art-minded audience. It also suits gallery programs and cultural festival graphics, where the lettering can echo gestural line illustration and other loosely drawn imagery.
