Author's note

Likhan, by Deepayan Sarkar, is a free sans serif font with a calm, contemporary voice. Its letters feel pared back and direct, with tall, even strokes and soft curves that keep the look open rather than severe; the sharp diagonal in the k gives the smoother round forms a bit of lift.

This free font makes sense anywhere you want modern lettering without a lot of fuss: interface headings, app splash screens, poster titles, magazine cover lines, and short branding lockups. It also works well for title cards and wayfinding-style graphics, because the simple shapes feel clean and steady while still carrying a slight human touch.
