Author's note

Lilith Heavy, designed by David Rakowski, is a free high-contrast serif display font with a decidedly severe, theatrical profile. Its needle-thin joins and broad black strokes form crisp, dramatic silhouettes.

A fashion magazine cover is an especially convincing setting, since the steep curves and blade-like serifs echo the elegance of couture lettering. The same qualities suit perfume packaging and boutique branding, where the letterforms can suggest luxury with a slightly dangerous edge. For publishing and music posters, its sweeping feet and sharply cut details introduce a dark, literary note that feels closer to decadent book typography than a conventional modern serif.
