Author's note

Lindau Black by Markus Waeger is a free heavy sans serif with an extremely compact, blocky silhouette. Thick vertical strokes dominate the letters, and the narrow openings make the forms feel dense and forceful. Rounded shoulders and softly curved joins keep the construction from looking mechanical.

It suits music posters and sports merchandise equally well. The compressed proportions and emphatic weight also fit nightclub branding and bold magazine covers, linking these varied uses through the font's blunt, concentrated graphic force.
