Author's note

Lintel by Jonathan Hill is a free light sans serif with an unusually tall, airy profile. Its strokes are clean and spare, with gentle width changes that keep the forms from looking strictly geometric. Broad capitals and compact lowercase shapes create a lively shift in scale across mixed-case settings.

Its restrained modernist character suits architecture magazines, gallery identities, and cultural event posters. The lettering has the polish needed for fashion packaging as well. In exhibition graphics, its long verticals and generous curves can become part of a wayfinding system, linking headings to rules, frames, and other linear elements throughout a venue.
