Author's note

Linux Biolinum Capitals by Philipp H. Poll is a free humanist sans serif with slightly stately proportions and subtly changing stroke widths. Its slim capitals have gently flared ends and open shapes.

As an editorial display face, it gives book covers and magazine section pages a cultured, literary air without copying a traditional serif. Museum programs and classical concert posters also suit its inscriptional poise and measured cadence. It is most convincing in publishing, where the refined capitals can serve as dignified titling rather than neutral labeling.
