Author's note

Liquiglyphs by Margaret Nichol of FontStruct is a free abstract dingbat font built from rounded droplets, dots, and branching organic forms. Its symbols resemble molecules, splashes, and soft-edged connectors.

Science event posters are a convincing use, since the marks can suggest cells or chemical diagrams without looking clinical. They also suit music artwork, game graphics, and playful product packaging. The repeated liquid-node motif lets individual signs become emblems or parts of a larger pattern.
