Locinse by Ermedia Studio is a free medieval blackletter font with towering, tightly packed forms, massive vertical strokes, and dramatic hairline turns. Its broad uprights break into sharp wedges and hooked flourishes, with thread-thin curves cutting between the darkest sections to exaggerate their weight and height.
In publishing, it can shape historical book covers and chapter openings with an emphatic old-world voice suited to accounts of courts and conflict. It also suits metal album artwork and heraldic event posters. The recurring spear points and sweeping hooks can echo shields, banners, and engraved ornament, making the type feel closely tied to the surrounding imagery.
