Author's note

Louis-Alexandre, created by ichii39 of FSI FontShop International GmbH, is a free pixel display font built from stark rectangular modules. Square cutouts and abrupt stair-step corners make each letter look assembled.

Designers working in retro gaming and digital culture will find it suited to arcade branding, game title screens, electronic music posters, and merchandise, since its uneven cap heights recall characters squeezed onto an early low-resolution display. It is most convincing in game graphics, where the lettering can become part of the pixel-based interface rather than a separate on-screen label.
