Lub Grotto, created by Font Monkey of P.D. Magnus, is a free hand-drawn sans serif display font with tall, loosely formed capitals. Rounded strokes vary subtly in width, and uneven joins give the letters a marker-drawn quality. The shapes remain open and spare.
It can suit cafe branding and children's publishing, yet its lanky silhouette also fits indie music posters. The irregular construction lets the letters become part of an illustration rather than polished corporate type. Its clearest audience is designers working on informal, youthful, or arts-focused projects.
