Author's note

Ludger Duvernay is a free old-school distorted display font with broad letters and an uneven silhouette. Its flared serifs, pinched joins, and swelling curves recall rough-cut show bills rather than classical type. Small nicks and unexpected bends keep the forms lively.

Vintage entertainment is its most convincing territory. The lettering fits circus posters, tavern branding, and music packaging, where its theatrical weight can set a rowdy period scene. On festival merchandise or book covers, the warped shapes can echo hand-drawn borders, woodcut figures, and other rough illustration.
