Macabra, designed by Marcio Hirosse, is a free curly display font with a gothic-romantic mood. The letters mix sharp, high-contrast forms with long black vines and fine hairline curls, so the alphabet feels theatrical, haunted, and slightly baroque rather than merely ornamental.
It fits poster titles, book covers, band artwork, event flyers, and packaging that wants a dark, elaborate flourish; as a free font, it also works well for short logo ideas, monograms, and dramatic chapter openers. Use it where the swirling extensions can stretch out and tangle around the word, because that restless ornament is really the point.
