Author's note

Magnificat, designed by Erwin Denissen of High-Logic, is a free calligraphic font with an exceptionally ornate, looping hand. Broad flourishes sweep far beyond the main letter shapes, and sharp changes from hairline strokes to dark curves give the writing a formal yet unruly movement.

It can turn a title into decorative artwork for wedding invitations, luxury packaging, or theatrical posters, especially when the lettering is meant to echo engraving and pen flourishes with an air of extravagant ceremony. On album covers, those swashes can become an ornamental border or emblem.
