Author's note
Mal de Ojo by Tim Gibbon is a free eroded display font with the blunt force of hand-inked poster caps. The letters are tall, heavy, and rough at the edges, with a dry, worn texture that makes the whole font feel scraped, stamped, and a little bit menacing.
That gritty voice fits music flyers, horror title cards, zine covers, bar posters, and bold packaging where a free font needs to feel raw rather than neat. It also works well for short headlines and monograms, since the caps keep a solid blocky silhouette even while the distressed surface breaks them up.
