Author's note

Manics - The Holy Bible by Michael Dennett is a free geometric sans serif display font that combines clean upright capitals with stark portrait imagery. Slim strokes and broad curves give the lettering a cool, severe finish.

Album packaging is its clearest setting, since the cutout portrait motif and spare sans serif forms connect directly with independent rock artwork and the cut-and-paste feel of record design. Concert posters and band merchandise can use the portrait element as an illustrated emblem, turning the type into part of the artwork rather than a separate caption throughout a release campaign and related music magazine editorial features.
