Author's note
Margot Xtrafette, designed by Lauren Thompson of Nymfont in 2013, is a free old-school comic display font with plump, uneven letters and a lively hand-drawn silhouette. Rounded corners, swelling strokes, and shifting widths keep the lettering loose and good-humored.
It can turn a title into a cheerful cartoon sign, which suits children's publishing and comedy event posters. The same bouncy forms also fit candy packaging, casual restaurant branding, and playful merchandise, especially when the lettering becomes part of the illustration.
