Author's note

Marked Up by S. Roland Frantz, designed in 1999, is a free brush font with a broad painted silhouette and rounded, uneven edges. The shapes stay compact and hand-made, with soft bulges and blunt ends that make the word feel brushed on rather than built from neat parts.

It has enough presence for poster headlines, music flyers, event banners, and sticker art, where the uneven brush shapes can carry short text. The rough edges also make it a good choice for product labels and zines that want a hand-painted mark instead of a polished headline.
