Author's note

Marker SD Italic by Steve Deffeyes is a free handwritten marker font with quick, rounded strokes and a loose forward motion. The letters change width as if drawn in one confident pass, with blunt ends and lightly uneven joins. It feels personal and unpolished.

As a handwritten note within a design, it suits cafe branding, craft packaging, and informal event posters. The fluid construction also fits music merchandise and editorial features centered on makers, sketches, or everyday creativity. In those settings, the lettering can become part of an illustrated label or hand-drawn emblem instead of serving as neutral text.
