Author's note
Martell by Adrian Candela is a free high-contrast serif font with a poised, editorial look. Its broad capitals combine sturdy verticals with very fine cross strokes and crisp, nearly unbracketed serifs. The lowercase is lighter and more open.
Magazine feature pages are a particularly good setting for its classical structure and measured formality, especially in arts or fashion publishing. Book covers, cultural event posters, and fragrance packaging also suit the refined drawing, but its clearest editorial role is in graceful feature headings and section openers.
