Matilde Sketch by Type Depot is a free retro display font with the slim, poised look of hand-drawn fashion lettering. Its tall forms use wavering hairline strokes, abrupt changes in width, restrained curves, and tiny crossbar-like caps.
Brands with an artisanal or vintage-minded outlook could use it for small-run perfume packaging, boutique identities, and cafe menus. The needle-fine lines and slightly imperfect joins also suit editorial illustrations, where the lettering can echo inked figures, garment sketches, or architectural drawings.
