Author's note

Matricula Espanola by inter981 is a free caps sans serif with a stark, poster-like voice. The letters feel cut from solid blocks, using tall verticals, broad strokes, and sharp triangular joins to create a hard-edged rhythm that reads as modernist and a little severe.

That makes it a natural choice for editorial mastheads, exhibition graphics, film title cards, record sleeves, and branding that needs a blunt graphic headline rather than a warm tone. As a free font, it works especially well for short cover lines, monograms, and logo sketches, because the caps lock together into bold, architectural shapes.
