Author's note

Matt Serif font by Matthew Beattie is a free handwritten font with a loose, sign-like script and uneven strokes that look drawn in one pass. The sample keeps a casual rhythm, with quick curves and a loose finishing flourish that make it feel closer to a signature than a polished script.

Matt Serif works well for logos, invitations, quote cards, packaging, and social media graphics that need a personal handwritten touch. Its informal movement also suits greeting cards, posters, and stationery where a simple, human-made look feels more fitting than a rigid display style.
